Back in July of 2018, we started to blog about the stages of grief. Unfortunately, illness hit Jeni in August and put her out of commission for about 2 months. In addition, illness also hit Teresa which made our blogging on grief stages rather sporadic. So we didn’t complete all of the stages in 2018 as planned. A brief recap of the stages are as follows: DABDA – Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.
We did manage to cover the following stages:
Denial:
Anger:
- Click here to see what’s normal with grief and anger
- Teresa’s story on Anger – The Pivotal Moment & A Big Ole Tattoo.
- Jenis’s story in Anger – Grief Waves
Bargaining:
- Click here to see what’s normal: Bargaining – Would of, Could of, Should have – the next stage of grief
- I Want Him Back – Jeni’s Bargaining Story
- Teresa’s story – Bargaining back my husband & my own pain away
It is our plan to continue the journey through the stages and complete this part of our blog. Here’s our introduction to the grief Journey – we call stages.
We are also starting to plan other topics for the year. If there are any topics you would like us to cover, please let us know by contacting us here:https://torninhalf.com/contact/
Here is what is coming next in 2019:
- Depression: The next stage of grief for discussion.
- What it can look/feel like, when to get/ask for help, how to handle/maneuver through it.
- Jeni & Teresa’s stories about depression and grief.
- Acceptance: The last stage of grief for our discussion.
- Going past the “knowledge” that the loss has occurred in your life to accepting that loss and all that comes with it in your life.
- Jeni & Teresa’s stories about acceptance and what that means to us.
- Multiple griefs
- When tragedy continues to hit…how do you recover?
- Building your new normal and taking care of you.
- Add links to past blog about new normal and self care.
May 2019 bring you peace, comfort, joy and Blessings.
