After 3 years of doing Torn In Half as a labor of love, we are looking to expand our readership and our effectiveness in helping widows through this journey. We are looking at starting widows’ groups, holding seminars and other items that will help those who have joined what we call “the worst club ever”. In order to see this vision through, we need financial support to assist our growth. Below is our request that we have set up through Click here to donate to the GoFundMe. Help us help others.
Please share with your networks, family and friends and consider a donation. No amount is too small to help us meet our goal. Every penny will help us help others!
We thank all of you for your readership and your support of our efforts to help others who have suffered loss in their lives. Help us help others!!
Thank you in advance!

Torn in Half Go Fund Me
We belong to the worst club. We lost our husbands without warning.
Just after Thanksgiving 2007, Jeni pulled into the driveway to find her husband lying in the gravel near their shed. At the age of 39, he suffered a massive heart attack, leaving her to raise three newly adopted teenagers.
Two years later on October 27, a state trooper visited Teresa at work. Her husband had been killed in a motorcycle accident. He was 42 and left her to raise her 2 boys alone.
Losing our best friend sent us into a whirlwind of emotions and so many questions.
- We turned to the internet for resources.
- How do we grieve?
- How do we help our children grieve?
- How do we manage a household without our best friend?
- How do we cope?
- Could we be happy and whole again?
Eventually, Teresa and I found each other through a women’s group. We talked about how our online research wasn’t all that helpful, we dreamed — what if we created a site of resources together? So we did. We created a blog of resources and hosted presentations and workshops called, torninhalf.com.
It has been a true labor of love. We’ve learned how to build a website, write blogs, and grow readership. We’ve put on presentations and workshops. Our followers tell us this is our ministry.
We pray you never join our club and need our resources, but would you help us reach other early widows?
In order to increase our readership, host webinars/presentations, and retreats for those who have suffered a surprise loss — we’re raising money for our marketing and technology budget. Up until now, we’ve managed with our own modest household budgets.
Will you help to reach more hearts that are Torn In Half?
