The start of a new year often brings unspoken pressure to feel renewed, motivated, and ready to move forward. But for those walking the path of widowhood, the calendar does not reset the heart.
This season has held both challenges and moments of joy for us. Some days have been full and meaningful. Others have asked more of us than we expected. Holding space for both is part of this journey, and it is one of the reasons we are choosing to slow down.
We will be taking the month of January to pause and rest, returning in February. This time is intentional. Grief does not follow a schedule, and neither does healing. We often encourage you to care for yourself, to listen to your spirit, and to honor what your heart is asking for. Now we are practicing what we teach.
January will be a month of self-care and self-renewal for us. A time to breathe deeply, reflect quietly, and allow ourselves the space to be restored.
If the start of this year feels heavy for you, please know that you are not behind. You are not failing. You are honoring the truth of your journey.
As you move through these early weeks, we invite you to lead with grace. Set gentle goals if you can. Let go of what feels overwhelming. Choose rest when your spirit asks for it.
During our January pause, we hope you will take time for yourself. These earlier articles offer guidance on self-care and thoughtful goal-setting, and we hope they bless you along the way.
